Based on true events, The Young Offenders follows Jock and Connor, two teenage lads from Cork who set off in search of a bale of cocaine that has washed ashore—despite having no real plan. Hapless in love, life, and their attempts at petty crime, the pair soon find themselves on the run from both the police and gangsters determined to recover the missing drugs. Fast-paced and packed with nonstop jokes, the film captures the chaotic charm of two Cork teenage “eejits” dreaming of a better life while stumbling from one wild misadventure to the next.
